Jim Hopewell (James Mitchell Hopewell, 16th November 1935 – 31st March 2016) Jim was an elder in Victoria Evangelical Church, Langside Road, Glasgow for many years and was much regarded as a "leading light". In his time, he served there as Bible Class Leader, Choir Leader and a Bible Teacher of great ability and gift. Jim was also a much sought after preacher in other Assemblies here and indeed, overseas for as a Trustee of the Scottish Assemblies Missionary Council "Interlink", he sometimes travelled abroad to lend support and counsel. Jim also served as a director of Scottish Stewards Co. Ltd.
